Michael Tichenor is a Miami native who received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1986. While attending the University of Florida, Mr. Tichenor was also a Miami-Dade County Park Ranger. After graduating from the University of Florida, Mr. Tichenor attended the University of Memphis law school in Memphis, Tennessee where he received his law degree in 1991.
In Memphis, Mr. Tichenor represented primarily businesses and insurance carriers in the areas of employment law and workers’ compensation, first as an associate, and then as a partner at a highly respected Memphis law firm. Thereafter, Mr. Tichenor was recruited by one of Memphis’s premier workers’ compensation law firms to exclusively defend insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters. During this time, Mr. Tichenor was also a Special Judge for the City of Memphis, and Legal Counsel to the Memphis Junior Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Tichenor was also admitted United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, among others.
In 2005, Mr. Tichenor returned to his roots in Miami, and successfully passed the Florida bar exam. Thereafter, Mr. Tichenor became an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Tichenor tried hundreds of bench trials, and over a dozen jury trials to verdict. As well, Mr. Tichenor worked for two highly respected law firms representing injured workers in workers’ compensation matters.
At Del Amo Law, Mr. Tichenor brings his over twenty five years’ of litigation experience with a concentration in matters of Personal Injury Protection for the plaintiff, foreclosure defense, workers’ compensation, and general civil litigation.
In his free time, Mr. Tichenor enjoys traveling throughout the world, and remodeling his house.
